About the opportunity
Longship is seeking interns to join us full-time in Oslo for a minimum of 6 months in 2027. The internship will be a great opportunity to learn about private equity while working closely with a team of experienced investment professionals at the leading and most active private equity firm in the Norwegian lower mid-market, and a top 5% performing fund in Europe. You will play an important role in the team, taking responsibility across the investment life cycle, including the deal sourcing, investment, and value creation phases.
The internship can commence in either January or August 2027. For the right candidate we may be supportive in giving flexibility to e.g. apply and prepare for master's programmes during the internship.
Key responsibilities
- Conducting research, valuation, and financial modelling on potential acquisition targets
- Contributing throughout the investment process, from sourcing, through due diligence, to presenting to the investment committee
- Assisting deal teams in developing our portfolio companies across a variety of sectors and geographies
- Attending meetings and discussions with investment bankers, lawyers, consultants, and target management teams
Your profile
- Completed bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record
- Experience from previous internships in investment banking, consulting, private equity or similar
- Strong drive, excellent communication skills, a humble personality and great integrity
- Team player with a genuine interest in private equity and business
- Fluent in Norwegian and English
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel
